On September 26th Ernest Murphy entered a chiropractor's office in the 1800 block of N. Reynolds.  Mr. Murphy held an eight inch knife to the throats of two patients and the receptionist while robbing them in the waiting room.  Off duty Officer Dan Wagner was a patient in a back room and was notified of what was taking place.  Officer Wagner immediately went to the front and pursued the suspect from the office.  Officer Wagner captured Mr. Murphy in a backyard several blocks away.  22 year old Ernest Murphy was charged with three counts of Aggravated Robbery.  Officer Wagner is to be commended for his committment to the citizens of Toledo even while off duty.
